If You Seek Amy (Nick* Remix)

This guy makes some really awesome remixes, in this case I think it sounds as good as the original. IUSA has already hit top 30 on media base, which charts songs based on airplay. This is good news for Britney, she must be hopeful that this song can follow in the Footsteps of Womanizer and Circus and hit #1 on airplay. Radio play is expecially important as it makes up 65% of the weighting on Billboard chart placements (30% sales and 5% internet streaming).

Katy Perry's Next Single Is...

Sugababes Split Up

Well as we suspected all the way back in November 2008, the sugababes are going to be hanging up their mic's and calling it a day. The decision comes following dissapointing sales of their last album, Catfights And Spotlights, which debuted with sales of only 23,000 in the first week and went on to sell a sultry 100,000.

The babes haven't ruled out reforming the group at a later date, but it won't be before they have taken an extended hiatus.

More New Flo Rida

This album is shaping up to be hot. Here is his next single, Sugar, which samples the#1 smash hit Blue by Eiffel 65. I like what he's going for with all the different samples, and I think it's goign topay dividends for him in first week sales.

Eoghan Quigg New Single

Eoghan is set to release his new album in April. The album will consist of 11 tracks, with the entire album being made up of covers. Here is his first single, called 28000 Friends, which is being put out to promote the album. He'll be lucky to go top 40 with this project.

Kelly Clarkson Bonus Tracks

The Day We Fell Apart had been posted before, but here is the HQ mastered version. Also, enjoy the second bonus track to leak called Tip Of My Tongue. Both are very strong tracks, and should have been on the original tracklist...always the way!

Michael Jacksons Announcement

Today, Michael Jackson, in front of a crowd of screaming fans, announced that after eight years of pretty much nothing, he is about to launch a farewell tour. He said the series of shows in July at London's O2 Arena will be his "final curtain call." Michael Jackson made the announcement at the 02 Arena, saying:

"This is it. This is it. These will be my final shows, performances, in London. This is it. And when I say this is it, I mean this is it. This is really it. This is the final curtain call, OK? See you in July."

Pre-sale for tickets to the concerts begins March 8 on his official site. The 10-concert stand will begin July 8!

Taylor Swift 'You're Not Sorry' CSI Remix

I assume it's called CSI remix because it featured on acommerical for the programme of the same name. Either way, I love the original of this track, and this remix adds to it.

New Keri Hilson

Okay, I'm not going to hate on Keri Hilson....after all she si behind the masterpieces that are Gimme More and Break The Ice. However, her debut album release has been messy to put it lightly. We have had single after single after buzz single after promo single and it's getting a bit silly. Anyway, she has now set a date of April 24th which she seems intent on keeping. To support the release, she is putting out another track called Slow Dance. As you will probably guess by the name, it is a slow ballad, and is nowhere near strong enough to ensure good first week sales ofthe album in my opinion.

Download / Slow Dance

It's very simple, I don't understand why artists don't get that the first single nearly always needs to be uptempo (Umbrella, So What, Womanizer and Right Round are perfect examples) with a decent bassline and unforgettable hook, otherwise the whole album will crash and burn. After a successfull first single, then there is room for some slower more creative songs if need be.

Eminem To Release Two Albums In 2009

Eminem has announced an official release date for his sixth studio album, Relapse, as well as a follow-up, Relapse 2. Slim Shady will release his first original studio album in over four years on May 19. The first single from the album and its accompanying video will see a simultaneous release on April 7. Anticipation for Relapse has been building since the fall, when Eminem first announced the album title and debuted the freestyle, “I’m Having a Relapse,” during an interview on his Shade 45 satellite radio station.

Last month, the release of “Crack a Bottle” from Eminem, Dr. Dre, and 50 Cent brought that anticipation to a head. The track soared to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and set a Nielsen SoundScan record for opening week download sales (418,000). The recording ranked third in the history of all weekly download sales. “Crack a Bottle” will be included as an album track on Relapse.

With the announcement of the release date for Relapse also comes confirmation of something that had been rumored in recent weeks: Eminem is already working on a follow-up album, Relapse 2, that fans can expect in the second half of 2009. “A lot of people were expecting Relapse to drop last year,” said Eminem. “I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned into six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”

New Nicole Scherzinger

Here is a recently leaked track called Punchin' from Nicole Scherzinger. The record is produced by Polow Da Don and is rumored to be a demo for Christina Millian. It is an uptempo club banger.

Download / Punchin'

I suspect it is just a demo, as HNIN must have been ditched by now; no record label would touch it. Nicole can't even seem to be successful with the dolls, I'm certain she would fail if she tried to breathe life back into that failed solo project. I blame Whatever You Like, that song was horrible and should never have past the cutting room floor. She might stand a chance if she recorded a whole new album of decent tracks, maybe a couple of collaborations, but most importantly a catchy hook and pristine production.

Blame It (Feat. Teairra) Remix

Teairra (I've never heard of her?) sings an extra verse in place of Jamie Foxx at the beginning of the song. Doesn't really add much to the track, but take a listen if you're a fan of hers. It doesn't stop this song being ace, and I really hope it makes the top 20 on Billboard.

The Circus: Starring Britney Spears

Britney Kicked off her circus tour last night in New Orleans to rave reviews. Despite what I consider to be an inferior setlist, many publications and bloggers have been singing her praises and saying what an amazing job she did on her first night.

The star blew the lid off the New Orleans Arena with her adult-only antics. Male dancers sported kinky, leather outfits while the Louisiana natives wore some of the most revealing outfits of her career, including sheer body-suits, leaving little to the imagination.

Watch Britney perform Piece Of Me

Some will be dissapointed (not me) that she decided not to sing live, but opted to lip sync the entire concert. She did try to mask this by pre-recording vocals to sound live, but she did mime the entire concert. In fairness, songs like Womanizer and Piece of Me would be very hard to sing live in my opinion.

Britney performing Get Naked (I Got A Plan)

If nothing else expect to see her latest studio album Circus sour up the charts next week. The media have given this comback tour a huge amountof press coverage. Click HERE to have a gander at some of the reviews.

Lil' Waynes 'Rebirth' May Be Shelved

Rap superstar Lil Wayne is reportedly facing an uphill struggle to have his experimental rock album released on Universal Records, because label bosses fear it will be a flop. The hitmaker has already seen his forthcoming disc Rebirth pushed back from its original release date of 7 April to 19 May.

The first single from the project, Prom Queen, dropped in January - but only reached number 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Now it's rumoured Lil Wayne's manager has been advised against letting the star press ahead with the CD. A source tells ThisIs50.com, "If Wayne doesn't brighten up, they have to turn into Mr Evil Record Company and tell him it's never going to be released."

Jamie Foxx 'Blame It' Video Premiere

I was majorly anticipating this video release, and I am left bitterly dissapointed. For what I consider to be a very strong song, perhaps on of the best songs of 2009 so far, they have decided to just apply a generic, predictable, 'black guys jump around in front of the camera and dance with hookers' approach. Such a shame. Also, what is the point in Jake Gylenhaal appearing in the video?

Official If You Seek Amy Remixes

These remixes are sounding pretty hot. These are official, so will probably be available to buy on itunes quite soon. As for chart predictions, I can't see it doing as well as Circus (#3 peak) or Womanizer (#1 peak), but I can certainly see it reaching the top 20.

New Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode are getting ready to release their twelfth studio album Sounds of the Universe on April 17th. Here are two new songs off it titled Hole To Feed and Spacewalker.

Soulja Boy Scores Second Top 10 Hit

Since the release of Soulja Boy's surprise smash 'Crank That' back in 2007, the teen 'rapper' has had much difficulty in matching the success of the song - with many of his follow-up singles failing to chart.

That all changed this week, however, as the one-time, one-hit wonder, saw his current single 'Kiss Me Thru The Phone (ft. Sammie)' jump #17-#9 on the Billboard Hot 100; a jump caused primarily by a surge in iTunes downloads, where the track currently sits at #4.

As much as I hate him, he has proved those wrong who said he'd only be a one hit wonder. Now he's proved the point, let's hope he fades.
